The 34th Golden Melody Award Nomination List
The 34th Golden Melody Award had announce its nomination list, renowned music producer and concert music director Jian-Chi Chen (George Chen) serves as this year's chairman of the Golden Melody Awards jury. Chen, a previous winner of multiple GMA, announced nominations at the press conference and received his own nomination for the "Best Album Producer Award" for Pei-Yu Hung's debut album "Silver Lining," which was nominated to compete in 8 awards this year. Although the chairman's nomination raises fairness concerns, the Golden Melody Awards have an avoidance mechanism to address this.
Nevertheless, doubts persist among netizens about the chairman's influence and the voting process.
