Elephant Gym kick-started World Tour by releasing their 10th anniversary version of 'Ocean in the Night'
The promising ground-breaking collaboration was rearranged with Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra
Elephant Gym, a renowned Taiwanese math rock band, celebrates their tenth anniversary with the announcement of their fourth album "世界 World," and an extensive world tour. The tour, spanning nearly 20 countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, marks a significant milestone, showcasing their global reach and fanbase. Notably, the band will perform in Vietnam, Mexico, and Mongolia for the first time.
Highlighting their decade-long journey, Elephant Gym re-recorded the classic track ‘Ocean in the Night’ (夜洋風景) with the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra, infusing it with a grand, orchestral sound. This reimagined version, featuring Hom Shenhao (洪申豪) of Touming Magazine (透明雜誌), celebrates the band's evolution and their enduring appeal.

Another album's lead single, ‘Happy Prince,’ sees a collaboration with Yile Lin (林以樂), an indie scene veteran who has led several legendary bands including BOYZ AND GIRL and Skip Skip Ben Ben for the first time. This song was inspired by Oscar Wilde's "The Happy Prince and Other Tales," showcasing a fusion of contemporary perspectives with classic storytelling, symbolizing the band's innovative spirit with intensive drum and bass, and of course - guitar distortion soundwall.
Marking their tenth anniversary, Elephant Gym reflects on a decade of musical exploration and growth. The new album and world tour not only commemorate their past achievements but also set the stage for their continued evolution in the global music scene.
